Friday Notes

It's Friday again (well really early Saturday morning), and that's time to reflect on the week and write this blog post.

This week has been a busy one with events I don't feel are appropriate to share on this blog, capturing the lionshare of my heart and attention so this update will be short.

It's now one week away from DjangoCon and I am excited to see, in person, other members of the Eldarion team in Portland a week from today. This coming week will be pretty hectic preparing to be gone from both home as well as most of work for the week.

I have just finished up a draft of a new article due on Monday, just need to go through and clean up some language and check to make sure what I am saying is actually correct. But then I need to get started on a 2nd one that is due 2 weeks from Monday. I am really enjoying these assignments and hope that I continue a pace of 2 articles a month.

Tonight James and I worked on adding user to user invites to the still-in-private-beta KodeNode. This is a site that he and I built over a weekend earlier this summer and it has been fun to see it grow.

I have recently been adding some features (but not released yet) to the Pinax Project website that should do a better job of exposing everything we've been doing. Many people that know about Pinax think of it only as a single project with a single code repository, but it's so much bigger than that. What I have been working on is a way, through the site, to see all the different projects that contribute to the idea of Pinax. I am very proud of what we have been doing and continue to do and of what Pinax is growing up to be and can't wait to share all of this with people.

It's almost 2 weeks now since I have been on a Paleo diet and I am feeling fantastic! In addition, I have dropped close to 20 pounds (17 to be exact). I hope I can keep up this pace for another 17-20 pounds.

That's it for this week. More random thoughts this time next week. Stay tuned.
