Charles Petzold offers from advice to an aspiring writer.
Some good tips, but I wonder what his advice might be for someone wanting to write a book in the twilight hours (after his day job was complete for the day)…
I especially like what he mentions about not writing yourself “dry” at the end of the day. In some ways, I can see that applying to coding and/or designing a system. I like to leave a few ideas on 3x5 cards or in my OneNote notebook to mull over the next morning (just in case I forget in between - which seems to have occurred more often with the advent of small children in our home).
