Helpful Tools for the Mac
In setting up my Mac Book Pro, a couple of people suggested the following tools:
TextMate (writing this blog post in this first class text editor) Parallels (how else am I going to run Vista and still keep at C# development) Quicksilver (already flying around the Mac with just the keyboard, forget Finder) Adium (best chat client I have ever used) ZigVersion (really sweet Subversion GUI) Fugu (for secure ftp) Delicious Library (for cataloging my media) Handbrake (for ripping DVDs) Pathway (for browsing Wikipedia) Disco (for CD/DVD burning) Monolingual (stripping out languages you don't need on the DVDs your are ripping) iStatPro (hardware monitoring widget) WhatSize (disk space usage tree)
